Three Types of Skin Disease, by Tiffany

Do you really know about skin disease? Skin disease is caused by a pathogen. This pathogen includes bacterium, virus, and fungus. Do you know what the symptoms of skin disease are? Do you know why these diseases happen? Do you know how to cure a skin disease when you have one? This essay discusses the symptoms, causes, and preventions for acne, chickenpox, and athlete’s foot.

Acne usually occurs in teenagers. After a person is 20 years old, it begins to improve gradually. Sometimes people may still have acne at around 30 years old. The cure for acne depends on the seriousness of the condition. Whiteheads are a mild form of acne. If there is dead skin and grease secretion that gathers in the hair follicle, a whitehead will develop on the skin. This type of acne does not leave a scar. Abscesses are severe acne. If a person does not manage it, it will leave a scar. Acne can become worse if the person puts on make up, uses fingernails to extrude the acne, if the person is nervous, and if the person has stress. A treatment is to put on ointment. Keep your face clean, and it can reduce the chances of acne.

Chickenpox is another type of skin disease. It is an acute infectious disease. It usually occurs in children between five and ten years old. An early symptom of chickenpox is a mild fever. Initially, chickenpox appears on the patient’s scalp and body, then on the face, arms, and legs. The sores are itchy. The patient usually recovers in about two to four weeks. Chickenpox is very contagious. When you have chickenpox, your body will produce antibodies and you will not get chickenpox again. Chickenpox spreads through person-to-person contact. The incubation period of chickenpox is about two to three weeks. The infectious period is usually one to two days before the person has chickenpox until seven days after. The prevention of chickenpox includes keeping personal and environmental areas sanitary and getting vaccinated.

Athlete’s foot is another type of skin disease. It is a fungus that infects the skin. The symptoms of athlete’s foot are an itch on your feet, usually between toes, and the skin peels and there are sores. Sometimes, it is painful. Athlete’s foot is a type of tinea. The fungus is most active in warm and wet environments. It can disseminate, so it can also infect hands. Sick people are more likely to have athlete’s foot. Treatment is putting on ointment. Prevention of athlete’s foot is through cleaning your feet every day, wearing clean socks, wearing slippers when you walk on the beach, and keeping your feet clean.

If you do not want skin disease, including acne, chickenpox, and athlete’s foot, you must keep your body clean and have a sanitary environment. I hope you can cure the problems if they happen, and you can learn more information about these types of skin diseases. I hope you can avoid these diseases from happening to your body.
